OBJECTIVE:
The task in this project was to design 4 units of 1 bedroom bungalows with a common area.
DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS:
Situated in Bocas del Toro, which has indigenous culture and Spanish architecture. The architecture and interior concept of this project is to incorporate modern tropical design with the local contents.
The concept was implemented by adopting Spanish roof tiles, and molas (indigenous crafts) patterns. The pattern itself has a geometrical shape that is usually used on perforated walls and bed headboards.
Handmade cement and terracotta tiles are installed as floor materials. The following materials are selected as an efficiency consideration during constructions.
