OBJECTIVE:
The challenge was to design a residential building situated on a sloping land which sits on rock.
DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS:
The space layout zoning is adopted from The Balinese architecture concept. That has separated buildings on each function. The pond acts as the main feature and welcoming element. The living room and dining area are positioned overlooking the pool. The bedroom area was determined by the land contour. In terms of avoiding the excavation process.
The architectural design approach is to create a monumental architecture by using reused clay tiles and Javanese roof shape combined with clean sleek shaped window.
